AFS Qualification
Bank & Office Interiors and Steelcase are committed to the highest standards of service and performance. Steelcase has extended that commitment for customers with specialized business needs by creating the Advanced Furniture Services (AFS) Qualification. B&OI is the only Steelcase Dealership in the Pacific Northwest Region who has ever earned this qualification. Delivering High Standards of ServicesAll Steelcase dealers must meet specific standards to become Authorized Steelcase Dealers. Authorization measures a broad range of capabilities and practices, including product and workplace knowledge. B&OI has not only met the knowledge and service standards required of all Authorized Steelcase Dealers, but has also demonstrated our expertise in Asset Management and related services. In addition, the following is needed to obtain AFS Qualification status: Business PlanningDealership must have an implemented 5-year business plan with a major focus on services. Warehouse & Asset Management PoliciesDealership must have an implemented Policies and Procedure Manual for warehousing and asset management practices. Key areas of focus are Reporting, Cycle Counting, Shipping, Receiving, Brokering, and Training. Warehouse & Asset Management Field AuditDealership must complete a field audit with a score of 90% or higher (B&OI scored a 98%). Each Dealership is audited on implementation and adherence to policies, warehouse safety, operational ability, and inventory accuracy. AFS Certified Project ManagersEach Dealership must have a minimum of two Project Managers successfully pass the Steelcase Advanced Project Manager Test. The test focuses on seven major categories of the project management process. Preplanning, Planning, Specifying, Ordering, Pre-Installation, Installation, and Project Closure. When working with B&OI, you can count on superior performance in furniture moves, warehousing, and other post-installation services. |
