The new Capitola Public Library Branch created a marriage between indoors and outdoors to engage the entire community. Noll & Tam designed an inviting, open, and light filled space for all library users, and we supported the project with streamlined furniture procurement.
There's a yin and yang aspect to this public space, with serenity on the border of vibrancy and nature glorified by design and materials. The beauty of Capitola is welcomed inside and referred to by both architecture and design.
Welcome, engaging and compact, the paneled wood ceilings and cozy spaces reference the boats at the nearby coast, with integrated leaves and light similar to the nearby park.
